TS Nock-Ten Update #20 (Landfall)

Tropical Storm Nock-Ten is about to make landfall in the northeastern part of Vietnam. It was last located approximately 180km south southeast of Hanoi. Maximum sustained winds remain at 85kph gusting to 120kph. Nock-Ten is moving westward at 20kph.

Latest radar from Phu Lien indicate the rainbands have moved into Vietnam. Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi is also reporting north northeasterly winds of up to 30kph.Heaviest rains are located south of the center with 6 hr amounts of as much as 150mm. The strongest winds, meanwhile, are located north of the center.

Nock-Ten is forecast to continue moving westward, weakening to a tropical depression tomorrow and dissipating by Monday over Laos.
