11W just outside the Philippine Area of Responsiblity has intensified into a Tropical Storm. TS 11W was last located approximately 450km north northwest of Yap. It is about 180km away from the PAR and could enter it later today. It will then be named by PAGASA as "Kabayan." Maximum sustained winds are around 65kph gusting to 90kph. TS 11W is moving west northwestward at 30kph.
While it is not expected to directly impact the Philippines, its continuous westward movement could change the forecast track output from the computer models. We will know more by 3pm today so please stay tuned for that update.
