TD 10W (Juaning) Update #3

Note: For the latest update on the newly formed Tropical Depression (11W), near Guam, please refer to our other text update.

Tropical Depression 10W, local name "Juaning", was last located approximately 180km east northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte or about 140km north northeast of Virac, Catanduanes. Maximum sustained winds remain at 55kph gusting to 85kph. TD 10W is moving northwestward at 20kph.

As of 5am today, PAGASA has raised Signal Number 1 for Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Cagayan, Isabela, Ifugao, Mt. Province, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, Polillo Island, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, and Camarines Provinces.

Light to moderate rains continue to overspread much of Southern Luzon, including the NCR, as well as Central and Eastern Visayas. Expect rainfall rates of around 5-10mm/hr with isolated pockets of heavy rainfall of up to 30mm/hr especially along the eastern coast of Quezon, Polilio Island, Camarines, Albay, Sorsogon, and Samar.

We are still forecasting a landfall in Isabela by Wednesday morning. Stay tuned for our 3pm update later today for any changes with regards to the forecast track.
