Tropical Update

We are currently watching two rapidly developing low pressure systems. One in West Philippine Sea (aka South China Sea) and the other one east of Mindanao.

Invest 94W was last located approximately 550km west northwest of Puerto Princesa. Invest 96W is located well east of Mindanao, near Palau and Yap islands. Both systems are in low to moderate wind shear and high sea surface temperatures. Numerous computer models show both systems become weak cyclones in the next few days. Right now it looks like 94W (near Palawan) has a higher chance of developing although we will also continue to monitor 96W.
