Tropical Update

No tropical cyclones currently although there's a weak low pressure area somewhere in Southern Philippines, near Palawan and Mindanao. We don't expect a tropical cyclone formation here although it will definitely bring rains to the south.

As far as forecasts go, computer models continue to show two areas for potential development: western South China Sea near Vietnam and another one east of the Philippines. The timing looks to be around 3 to 5 days from now. Right now, neither of them looks very strong on the models although one of them might impact the Philippines next week. Again, this is a just a vague forecast based on continuous computer model trends for the past two days. There isn't really an area of concern YET so we will see.
