Tropical Update

Invest 92W is now moving across Central and Eastern Visayas. It was last located at approximately 150km east of Cebu. The low pressure is moving north northwestward. Light to moderate rains continue to affect Mindanao and Visayas. Rainbands associated with the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone are also making their way towards Southern Luzon.

Due to proximity to land, there is a low chance for development. However, this batch of rain showers will continue to move across the Philippines and should affect Central Luzon including Manila this week. Zamboanga is already reporting 24 rainfall amounts of as much as 300mm.

Some models are forecasting this system to slightly develop once it gets to South China Sea by the end of this week.
