Tropical Update

Invest 92W has moved westward and is now within 200km southeast of Davao City. It's still weak and poorly organized. The main thing to watch though are moderate and sometimes heavy rains in the next few days, particularly in Eastern Mindanao and Visayas. Computer models are not forecasting this to develop into a tropical storm although tropical depression strength is likely. Wind shear in the area is still strong so not expecting this to strengthen significantly.

The batch of rain showers will move northward and if it does become a TD, it is forecast to move north or northwest toward Central Visayas, and Southern Luzon. Whatever happens, expect an increased chance for precipitation throughout this week.
