The low pressure moving across Luzon has now intensified into a tropical depression. TD 05W is moving across South China Sea; it was last located approximately 200km WNW of Manila. Sustained winds are estimated to be around 45kph with gusts reaching up to 65kph.
PAGASA is NOT classifying this as a TD just yet so it has no local name as of now.
Wind reports from NAIA indicate southwesterly winds at 15-20kph. Heavy rain also continues throughout much of Central and Southern Luzon which has led to suspensions of classes in different provinces, including Metro Manila.
