Tropical Depression 06W (Egay) slightly strengthened today as it tracks just east of Visayas. TD 06W was last located approximately 200km east southeast of Virac, Catanduanes. Maximum sustained winds are now at 55kph. It is moving NW at 20kph.
As of 5am today, PAGASA has issued Signal #1 for Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, and Samar Provinces.
Forecast hasn't changed. We still expect TD 06W to slowly strengthen becoming a tropical storm today. As for the track, we believe TD 06W will continue to move east of Luzon and might make landfall in Northern Cagayan on Monday as a tropical storm. Still lots of things to be ironed out. Another update later today at 4pm.
