Tropical Depression 01W has strengthened somewhat this past 12 hours. Maximum sustained winds are now estimated to be around 55kph. TD 01W has also moved very little; present location is approximately 555km east southeast of Ho Chi Minh.
TD 01W remains a very weak system with an exposed center and spotty bursts of convection. It is forecast to maintain its tropical depression strength before dissipating within the next 24 hours.
