Katring (Chaba) has intensified into a typhoon and now has maximum sustained winds of 120kph (gusting to 150kph). Typhoon Katring (Chaba) is moving north northwestward at 15kph. There no changes with the forecast. Most computer models (except the NOGAPS) and agencies forecast that Typhoon Chaba would pass to the east of Okinawa by Thursday/early Friday.
