Just a quick update. Typhoon Megi has now entered the Philippine Area of Responsbility and will be adopting the local name "Juan". No changes in intensity although it has slightly increased its forward speed.

Hourly Update on Typhoon "JUAN"
ReplyDeleteAs of 4:00 p.m, Typhoon "JUAN" was estimated at 820 km East of Northern Luzon. (18.4°N, 130.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph. Moving West Northwest at 24 kph. Estimated central pressure: 967 hpa.
