Typhoon Chaba is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has also begun to weaken. Maximum winds are now at 195kph, bringing it down to a Category 3 typhoon. Chaba is moving northeast at 20kph. The rate of weakening should increase as the environment becomes more hostile for a typhoon. It should weaken further, becoming a Category 2 in 12 hours. The forecast track, on the other hand, hasn't changed.
