Typhoon Fanapi Update #15

Typhoon Fanapi has made landfall over Southeastern China. It is currently within 100km north of the city of Shantou. Maximum sustained winds are at 120kph. Fanapi is moving west northwest at 25kph.

Fanapi is forecast to move generally to the west. It will pass well north of Hong Kong (around 200km away). However, moderate rain and gusty winds will still impact the region. Fanapi will continue weakening and is expected to become a tropical depression in 24 hours and dissipating thereafter.
