Fanapi continues to weaken and has been downgraded into a tropical storm. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to aroud 85kph. Fanapi is moving westward at 15kph. Moderate rain and gusty winds still impacting the Hong Kong area. Fanapi is forecast to dissipate in the next 24-36 hours.
Meanwhile, a new tropical depression has formed in the Western Pacific. TD 13W is currently 450km north of Saipan. Maximum winds are at 55kph. It is forecast to become better organized and become a tropical storm in the next 12-24 hours. TD 13W is not a threat to any land mass as of yet.
