Typhoon Fanapi is now moving over Central Taiwan. It has made landfall a little more than an hour ago. Fanapi was last located approximately 150km south of Taipei, Taiwan. It is moving west southwest at 25kph. From the latest advisory by the JTWC, maximum sustained winds remain at 195kph. However, based on wind and pressure reports, and radar imagery from Taiwan, we do think that Fanapi has weakened since it made landfall, albeit slightly.
