TY Conson (Basyang) Update # 4

TY Conson (Basyang) continues to strengthen as it nears landfall. Maximum sustained winds are now at 130kph with gusts reaching 160kph. It is still moving west at 25kph. The system is now beginning to affect the Camarines area with winds and heavy rain. The forecast still calls for Conson to move north-westward and make landfall in the Aurora-Quezon area. These areas, including Manila, will experience typhoon force gusts and flooding rains. By Wednesday morning, Conson should be within Southern Pangasinan as it weakens to a tropical storm. It will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
