No More Pepeng, Will Clear Weather Last??

PAGASA has finally made its last bulletin regarding Tropical Depression Pepeng after leaving PAR last Saturday Night. It accelerated as it moves west in South China Sea possibly making landfall on Hainan (South China) by tomorrow. Tropical Storm Nepartak is far enough not to significantly affect any land mass. This will be our last update as well regarding Pepeng.

With that said, clear weather will prevail over much of the country in the coming days with some isolated showers and thunderstorms. Moderate winds could be felt across much of Luzon. Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will still experience warm temperatures; factor in the humidity and we could be seeing another round of mid to upper 30's (C) during the afternoon hours.

No tropical depression is expected in the next 2-3 days. But the 00z runs have hinted at a tropical low forming off the east of the Philippines by Thursday or Friday. It is interesting to note that there is strong agreement on this forecast between the weather models that we use. It is still too far away and we have yet to see consistency on this prediction. Be sure to visit regularly for updates. If this low is shown again tomorrow, then the chances of another system to hit the country this weekend could be moderate.
