A new Tropical Cyclone has formed in the Western Pacific, yet again. Tropical Depression 07W is slowly consolidating near the Caroline Islands. The center of the disturbance was last located approximately 250km south southeast of the island of Pohnpei. Maximum sustained winds are at 55kph with gusts of up to 75kph. TD 07W is moving westward at 10kph.

Latest satellite image shows TD 07W in its formative stages of development. Strong convective activity are emanating from the center of circulation and bands are starting to wrap around it. We are also seeing moderate outflow which will help for further intensification.
Tropical Depression 07W should continue moving west northwestward in the coming days, intensifying steadily along the way. Current computer model tracks show TD 07W moving near Guam and the Mariana Islands early next week. As we always state, though, it is still uncertain how significant of an impact TD 07W will be for the Marianas.
We'll have a separate update for Typhoon Noul (Bagyong Dodong) later this morning.
