Latest satellite image shows the clouds associated with Wutip are now moving further inland into Vietnam and Laos. Wutip was able to re-intensify earlier today back to a Category 2 Typhoon before making landfall south of the city of Vinh. Coastal areas there received heavy rainfall along with strong and damaging winds of up to 160kph.

The center of Wutip will cross into Laos later tonight. It will also weaken to a Tropical Storm as it moves further inland. Heavy rains will threaten much of the region through the next few days. Wutip is forecast to dissipate late tomorrow evening (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, two new tropical cyclones formed in the Pacific today. One is located south of Japan while the other is located east of the Philippines. TD Sepate is south of Tokyo and is forecast to recurve to the north. Meanwhile, the other system is TD 22W (Bagyong Quedan) and that is forecast to continue moving northward.

We'll have complete updates on these systems tomorrow morning.
