3-Day Forecast (Mar. 5)

Issued (0930 UTC) 530pm PhT 030513
________________________________

A cold front that moved through two days ago enhanced scattered light rains all across Luzon. Behind this front, a weak surge of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) has brought the temperatures down a little bit especially for Northern Luzon. The weather has become mostly quiet once again with only scattered rains being reported in Mindanao.

Quiet weather pattern should at least for another day or so. Another cold-front is diving down and will be enhancing some rains, once again, for parts of Luzon and Eastern Visayas tonight and into tomorrow. Meanwhile, a surface trough embedded along the ITCZ is moving westward and is forecast to bring precipitation into Visayas and Mindanao over the next few days.

3-Day Weather Forecast (NOT OFFICIAL!)

For tomorrow, there is a small chance of rain for parts of Luzon especially along the northern and eastern portions. Visayas will have partly cloudy skies with a chance of an isolated rain shower especially in the afternoon hours. Mindanao may start to get some rains by the evening hours and will only increase by Thursday. We're not expecting huge rain accumulations although it may still cause some flooding. Rains could continue into Friday and could spread into parts of Visayas.

We'll have another update on Friday, March 8.
