Typhoon Tembin (Igme) & TS Bolaven Video Update

Note: PAGASA has finally upgraded Igme to a Typhoon on their latest update.

Here is our latest video update on the Western Pacific Basin. We are now watching TWO systems; both of which could become very significant storms in the coming days. First up is Typhoon Tembin (Bagyong Igme) which has rapidly intensified east of Luzon. This system will continue strengthening and could peak at a Category 4 before making landfall in Hualien, Taiwan by Thursday morning. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Bolaven continues to slowly consolidate northwest of Guam and it, too, could intensify into a strong typhoon in the coming days. This storm will slowly move westward and could threaten Eastern Asia by this weekend. Anywhere from Taiwan all the way to the Japanese Islands (Ryukyu) should continue to monitor the developments of Bolaven.

If you are in Taiwan, please prepare NOW and continue to check Central Weather Bureau for the latest official warnings and forecasts for your area. Stay safe!

We'll have our complete Text Updates for Tembin and Bolaven in about an hour.
