Tropical Depression 01W has dissipated while meandering over the South China Sea. Unfavorable conditions in the region never really gave the system any chance at developing. Right now, scattered showers in the SCS and along the Vietnamese Coast are due to the NE Monsoon and will continue for the next couple of days. Rain showers will also continue for the Philippines, particularly in Eastern Luzon where numerous landslides have already been reported. The ITCZ will also enhance showers across Eastern Visayas and parts of Mindanao.
