The eye is now also being detected as well as the rings rain bands surrounding the center.

We are not expecting Ma-On to intensify anymore although it will likely keep that typhoon-intensity upon landfall. Slight changes with the forecast regarding the landfall times. We now expect Ma-On to make landfall in Southeastern Kochi as early as late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning (Japan Time). Ma-On will then pass through the prefectures of Tokushima, Wakayama, and Nara.

By Wednesday it will pass through the prefectures of Mie, Aichi, and Shizuoka. It will weaken to a tropical storm before passing south of Tokyo along the southern coast of Kanagawa and Chiba.
