Tropical Depression 02W is now in the vicinity of the Northern Mariana Islands. Tropical storm watches remain in effect for the islands of Agrihan, Pagan, and Alamagan islands. TD 02W was last spotted approximately 400km north of Guam. The storm is moving east northeast at 35kph.
TD 02W is forecast is forecast to continue moving to the northeast, passing by the Mariana Islands later today. It still has a chance of becoming a tropical storm by morning although that is becoming less likely now due to unfavorable conditions. TD 02W is forecast to dissipate in the next 24-36 hours.
