Tropical Update
A tropical disturbance continues to persist east of the Philippines. The low pressure area is currently southwest of Palau and is moving westward at around 20kph. JTWC is giving the system a "Fair" chance of developing into a tropical depression. Numerous computer models show the LPA to continue developing for the next 1-2 days as it approaches Mindanao.
The disturbance is forecast to bring heavy rain into Southern Philippines over the next 2-3 days.
