Megi made landfall yesterday in Xiamen as a weak category 1 typhoon. It is now dissipating as it moves across Southern China. TD 17W is also dissipating out in the Pacific due to unfavorable conditions. This is the final update for Tropical Depressions Megi and 17W.

TD 16W, meanwhile, is now inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility; it has adopted the name "Katring". TD 16W has strengthened slightly with maximum winds now at 55kph. It is moving westward at 10kph. TD 16W is too far to affect the Philippines; right now, the forecasts call for a turn to the north in the next 24-36 hours. It looks like TD 16W will head to Okinawa, Japan by the middle of next week.
