TD 16W and 17W Update

Tropical Depressions 16W and 17W remain as weak tropical systems out in the Pacific. Neither looks healthy although both systems still have a circulation center seen through the satellite images. Upper level environment is forecast to become favorable allowing TD 16W to slowly strengthen. Computer models predict it will recurve to the north in 2-3 days' time.

As for TD 17W, it is not expected to strengthen beyond tropical depression strength; it is forecast to dissipate in 24-48 hours.
