A brief update with regards to the existing tropical system. Typhoon Fanapi (Inday) is now officially a category 3 storm. Maximum sustained winds are estimated to be around 195kph with gusts of up to 240 kph. Fanapi is moving to the west northwest at 15kph. It will likely strengthen more before leveling off somewhere in the 200-210kph range.
No changes with our forecast. Next update will be at 2am PST.
