Tropical Storm Malou (Henry) Update #04

Tropical Storm Malou (Henry) is still inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. It has moved generally to the west this past 24 hours due to a possible cyclone interaction with a tropical depression near Okinawa. Maximum winds are still at 65kph; gusts reaching 85kph.

TS Malou should start moving to the northwest today and will pass southwest of Kadena. It should then move along Eastern China, that includes Shanghai, intensifying further along the way. By Wednesday, Malou should be in the Yellow Sea and should start to slowly weaken due to the cooler waters and stronger vertical vertical wind shear. However, computer models are still in disagreement with regards to the track after 2 days.
