Tropical Storm 11W has begun to turn to the northwest. Winds remain at 65kph but the storm is still expected to strengthen, possibly peaking at around 85kph (maximum sustained). There is a slight change with our forecast, particularly the landfall time. TS 11W is still forecast to make landfall near Shantou, although that may not happen until early Friday morning (RP Time).
Even though TS 11W has technically exited the Philippines, northwest Luzon, including Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, and Batanes provinces, will still experience occasional gusty winds and light to moderate rain.
