TS Kompasu continues to strengthen as it moves closer to Okinawa. Maximum sustained winds are estimated to be around 85kph with gusts of around 100kph. There is a slight change with our forecast. TS Kompasu should continue moving to the northwest, possibly making a direct hit on Okinawa late Tuesday night into early Wednesday. It should then strengthen into a typhoon before passing closely to the east of Shanghai.
