TS 08W Update #01

That's right! We have another tropical storm in the area. TS 08W was upgraded by the JTWC early this morning; JMA still classifies this as a tropical depression. It's current winds are at 75kph (JTWC) and with a movement to the northwest at 30kph. It is expected to continue its present motion, briefly staying inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (wherein it could be given a local name of "Glenda"). It is also forecast to continue strengthening, perhaps brushing Shanghai, China as a weak typhoon.
