Tropical Update

A monsoon gyre has persisted around the area for more than a week which resulted into numerous convections flaring up, as well as the strengthening of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat); let's also not forget the "pseudostorm" that is Domeng.

A Tropical Disturbance has also began to emerge northeast of Luzon. It is almost stationary at the moment and is trying to organize and strengthen. Numerous forecast models predict that a tropical storm could form out of this system in the next 24-36 hours. Possible track at the moment would be to the north, away from the Philippines.
