TS Conson (Basyang) Update #7

Tropical storm Conson continues to weaken as it heads out to South China Sea. TS Conson (Basyang) passed just south of Manila early this morning, contrary to earlier forecasts suggesting that it would pass north. This is due to the storm's persistent westward movement. Nevertheless, Conson is still expected to turn west-north-westwardly once it is in South China Sea. It could regain its strength as it moves over the open waters before making landfall around Southern China in 3 days' time.

Central and Southern Luzon will still experience moderate, and sometimes heavy, rain throughout the day but conditions should slowly improve in the area within the next 12 hours.
