TD 02 Warning#2

The tropical depression continues to strengthen as it moves slowly to the northwest. Sustained winds are now around 60kph (1 minute average). It is expected to become a tropical storm by mid-morning (Philippine Time). The storm will continue to move northwest and could enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility by tomorrow morning at the earliest. It's unlikely to make a landfall in the country but it could bring some moderate to heavy rainfall in the eastern areas. The system will dissipate late this week as it encounters increasing vertical wind shear; it will also interact with a passing weather front.

Maps will be posted in our next update.
