Extra-Tropical Cyclone Bolaven Update #19 (FINAL)

Bolaven has fully transitioned into an extra-tropical cyclone over Northeastern China. It is now moving into Far East Russia and will be bringing gusty winds and light to moderate rains.

The system made landfall in North Korea, northwest of Pyongyang, early last night. It quickly moved to the northeast but did bring some heavy rains in the country of 50 to 150mm. There was much more significant damage reported in South Korea where at least 9 people have died including 7 fishermen (as of writing time, the death toll seems to have risen to 11). Most of the Peninsula is returning to normal and the weather here has dramatically improved. However, another threat is looming to the south as Tropical Storm Tembin could make landfall in South Korea tomorrow.

As for Bolaven, both JMA and JTWC have given their final warnings for this system. Likewise, this will be our final update for Bolaven.
