Forecast Graphic, NOT OFFICIAL!

Luzon

Moderate rains continue to fall across much of the region today. As much as 100 to 150mm of rain has fallen in parts of the Bicol Region in the past 24 hours. About 50 to 100mm have fallen in Central and Southern Luzon. The northern half of Luzon is having quieter weather for now. We expect rains to slowly move northward, eventually affecting Northern Luzon by tomorrow. Rains should begin to die down for Central and Southern Luzon (except in the Bicol Region) by Sunday. Light rains, however, could linger for much longer across Northern Luzon.

Visayas

Heavy rain has also been observed here with some flooding reported in Bacolod and Iloilo. Isolated thunderstorms are also seen forming from time to time. No widespread rain maker for the next 2 days although these prolonged afternoon downpours can certainly cause minor flooding. Expect clearer weather by this weekend.

Mindanao

Less rainy in the region compared to the north. There will still be some afternoon thunderstorms although not expecting huge amounts of rain. No large weather maker expected in the next few days.

Next 3-Day Forecast update on Monday--April 1, 2012.
