Tropical Storm Kompasu Update #11

Tropical Storm Kompasu moved across the Korean Peninsula this morning as a category 1 typhoon. It has weakened since, now a tropical storm. Kompasu is estimated to be around 200km northeast of Seoul. It is now moving over the Sea of Japan and should complete extra tropical transition in 24 hours.

Meanwhile, a new tropical depression has formed east of the Philippines. It is still not as organized, yet. However, the system could become a tropical storm in 24-48 hours. It is forecast to move to the northwest with no expected effects to the country.
