Tropical Update

Two areas of broad convection has persisted for the past 24-48 hours. One is near Vietnam while the other one is just north of Luzon. Both have good chances of development as noted by some numerical models.

The low pressure area in Luzon will bring thunderstorms and moderate rain, as well as gusty winds to areas such as the Ilocos Provinces, and the Babuyan Islands. It is slowly moving to the west but such conditions will still persist, if not worsen, in the next 24 hours.
