Latest satellite image shows some convective activity but the system as a whole remains largely disorganized. The core has not really shown any improvements which is to be expected since the system is moving near land. We're not expecting any significant intensification in the short term but the rainfall associated with the system can still bring flooding and landslides in some areas.
Tropical Depression 30W (Wilma) will keep moving westward today bringing as much as 100mm of rainfall in some areas. Places that were ravaged by the earthquake a few weeks back will have to be wary regarding landslides, especially in Bohol. Minor flooding is also possible.
TD 30W will move into the Sulu Sea by tomorrow but rainfall will spread towards Central Visayas and parts of Northern Mindanao.
We'll have another update later today.
