Tropical Depression 06W (Bagyong Gorio) continues to slowly move across the Philippine Sea. The system was last located approximately 220km east southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar. Maximum sustained winds remain at 45kph with gusts of up to 65kph. TD 06W is moving northwestward at 10kph.
As of 5pm this afternoon, PAGASA has expanded the Public Storm Warning Signal #1 to include Dinagat and Siargao Island, Samar Provinces, Leyte Provinces, Biliran Island, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Burias Island, Masbate, and Polilio Island.

Latest satellite image shows strong convective activity, including banding, continue to form around the TD 06W's center. TD 06W has managed to bring widespread rains across Mindanao and Visayas today bringing as much as 50mm in some areas. Rains will continue in the said areas and will start affecting parts of the Bicol Region tonight and into tomorrow.
Tropical Depression 06W (Gorio) is forecast to continue slowly intensifying tonight, possibly becoming a Tropical Storm by tomorrow. Computer models have slightly shifted their tracks westward and are now showing a potential landfall in the Bicol Region by Sunday morning. Rains will continue to affect large parts of Mindanao, Visayas, and Southern Luzon in the coming days.
