Tropical Depression 02W (Bagyong Crising) is now moving away from the Philippines. However, scattered rains will continue for parts of the country over the next few days.

Scattered light to moderate rains continue to affect the Philippines. Areas are still reporting 30 to 50mm of rain which could still cause flooding and exacerbate the problem of moisture soaked soil leading to the possibility of landslides. We are still expecting 50 to even 100mm of rain in some areas over the next 24 hours. However, expect weather conditions to gradually improve.
3-Day Weather Forecast (NOT OFFICIAL!)
Luzon will still see some scattered rains tomorrow but the coverage and intensity will decrease as we move into the weekend. Same forecast goes for parts of Visayas although rains will likely return by Sunday. Finally for Mindanao, we may see quieter weather tomorrow but rains are forecast to return by Saturday and Sunday due to the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Fortunately, we are not expecting the same heavy rain amounts that we've seen with TD Crising.
We'll have another update on Sunday, February 24.
