Typhoon Bopha (Bagyong Pablo) is currently making its third, and hopefully final, landfall in Northern Palawan. The system was last located approximately 100km northeast of Puerto Princesa. Maximum sustained winds are now down to 120kph with gusts of up to 150kph. Typhoon Bopha is moving west northwestward at 20kph.
As of 5am this morning, here are the latest Public Storm Warning Signals from PAGASA:
Signal #3: Northern Palawan and Calamian Grp. of Islands
Signal #2: Rest of Palawan, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Bohol, Siquijor, Southern Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Negros Occidental.
Signal #1: Occidental Mindoro, Lubang Is., Oriental Mindoro, Romblon,
Aklan, Capiz, Rest of Cebu, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Norte, and Camiguin.
Areas under these Signal Warnings should remain under alert as stormy and dangerous conditions still persist, especially in Palawan. Areas in Mindanao should start seeing a gradual improvement in the weather this afternoon. As for Visayas, some light rains are still possible from time to time although strong winds are not expected anymore. Despite the improving weather, always listen to the officials to know if it's okay to return to your homes (if you are in evacuation areas).

Latest satellite image shows the core of Bopha moving into Northern Palawan. Winds of up to 120kph possible within 20km of the storm's center. Tropical Storm-force winds of up to 80kph, on the other hand, extend to as far as 100km away from the center. Rains of up to 100mm also possible in the next 6 hours as the system moves through.
Typhoon Bopha has weakened significantly from 24 hours ago as it made several landfalls across Mindanao and Visayas. Convective activity has somewhat increased but doesn't seem to be helping the system much. As Bopha exits into the South China Sea/West Philippine Sea by tomorrow (Thursday), expect improving weather across much of the Philippines.
We'll have another update later this afternoon.
