The Western Pacific is quiet once again after Prapiroon and Maria weakened yesterday. However we are still watching the Tropics for possible cyclone development in the next few days. The system we are focusing on is Invest 92W which is located just east of Palau. This disturbance is still disorganized and may not even develop at all. Nevertheless, this low pressure area may eventually brings scattered showers across Visayas and Mindanao in the next 2 days.

Meanwhile, a monsoon trough currently moving across the Southern Philippines is bringing scattered rain showers across Visayas and Mindanao. Some of these showers can have heavy downpours and could bring as much as 10 to 20mm of rain in an hour. The heaviest of rains are currently located across Negros, Cebu, and Western and Northern Mindanao. Areas here should be wary of sudden rains, minor floodings, and even the threat of flashfloods. Rains should taper off by tomorrow.
We'll have another update tomorrow.
