Tropical Storm Vicente is now rapidly weakening over the Guangxi Province in Southeastern China. The storm was last located approximately 120km east northeast of Nanning City. Maximum sustained winds are now down to 110kph with gusts of up to 150kph. Vicente is currently moving westward at 25kph.

Latest radar image out of Guangxi continue to show widespread rains, particularly near the center of Vicente. Some of the rainbands even extend south into Hainan Island. Rainfall reports out of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau range from 100 to 150mm with some areas like Hong Kong Airport recording more than 200mm. Expect those same rainfall amounts to fall across Guangxi today, with higher winds along the higher elevations. Tropical Storm Vicente continues to quickly unravel with the inner core starting to degrade as observed on satellite image. Nevertheless, there will still be strong winds and heavy rain along the path of Vicente so please continue monitoring the news for the latest warnings and forecasts for your area!
Vicente will continue weakening and could become a Tropical Depression tomorrow as it moves into Vietnam. It is forecast to pass approximately 200km north of Hanoi tomorrow morning bringing rains across the country. Vicente is expect to dissipate as early as tomorrow afternoon.
