Tropical Storm 13W Update #3

Tropical Storm 13W has not intensified over the past 12 hours but has become better organized. The system was last located approximately 350km north of Saipan; winds remain at 65kph. TS 13W is moving to the west at 10kph.

It is forecast continue its present westward movement. By Thursday, TS 13W will gradually turn to the north/northeast. Good upper-level environment will help TS 13W to intensify quickly into a typhoon. It will move near Iwo To (Iwo Jima) early Friday morning. TS 13W is still expected to intensify further after that period, reaching category 2 perhaps before undergoing extra tropical transition.
