TS Lionrock Update #10/TS Namtheun Update #03

We have decided to merge our updates for Tropical Storms Lionrock and Namtheun due to their close proximity, and expected effects, with each other.
Lionrock is currently stationary and has taken a very erratic track this past 24 hours. Maximum winds are at 100kph. Lionrock is currently having a "Direct Cyclone Interaction" with Tropical Storm Namtheun, just to the north of Taiwan. Due to improving conditions aloft, Lionrock is forecast to become a typhoon on Wednesday before absorbing Namtheun. It will then resume its northwestwardly movement and make landfall near Xiamen on Thursday and quickly dissipating.

Namtheun is forecast to continue moving to the southwest, weakening as a tropical depression before merging with the relatively stronger Lionrock.

The forecast map shows both Lionrock and Namtheun and their respective forecast tracks.
