Tropical Storm Ondoy (Ketsana) has moved farther away from Luzon. Though the storm is hundreds of kilometers away from the island, some areas in the west will still experience gusty winds from 30-50kph. Rain showers should also be expected. The Metro Manila area, on the other hand, will have increasing sunshine as clouds will begin to move away. Showers will still linger though but are not going to be as heavy as they were in the past few days. SSW winds will also be prevalent as the Southwest Monsoon will be strengthened by TS Ondoy.
This is from the 5am PST weather bulletin from PAGASA:
Distance: 290Km West of Zambales
Winds: 95kph with Gustiness of about 120kph
Movement: NW-WNW at 24kph
Source: PAGASA Weather Bulletin
TS Ondoy is expected to remain within the PAR in the next few hours. It is expected to leave RP during the night.
Tropical Disturbances in the Western Pacific
As per latest Satellite Imagery, there are two tropical disturbances being monitored in the W. Pacific. 99W and 98W. Both are expected to affect the Philippines in the coming days. We will update you regarding these systems tomorrow.
Amin pong inuulit na sana'y maging ligtas ang ating araw at iwasan na munang lumabas at bumyahe upang di na maperwisyo pa ng baha.
